Lifeline Waikato

The Rotaract Club of Hamilton donated a computer and network system to Lifeline Waikato to replace the paper system they were using during phone councelling. This has greatly increased their ability to provide information to callers.

 

Rotary Projects

Rotaract often assist with existing Rotary projects, from garage sales to working on bars to serving food. We provide help for their fundraising projects.

Claudelands Adventure Playground

This is a ongoing project in conjunction with many Rotary clubs within Hamilton. The idea is to combine funds and create an adventure playground at the new claudlands reserve for all to enjoy.

Shelterbox

Shelterbox is an international project providing disaster relief for thousands of families whenever earthquake, tsunami or war breaks out. Each box contains enough equipment for a family to survive for six months. The Rotaract club of Hamilton supports this project by donating funds to the shelterbox trust.

St John

Rotaract organised a project where farmers donated the proceeds from the sale of one calf to a St John fund. This fund is used to provide text books and ambulance equipment.

Hamilton North School

Hamilton North School is a school for children with disabilities. Hamilton Rotaract Club asisted in their van project by donating money towards a new van with a wheelchair lift. The children greatly appreciate their new van!

Baan Dada Orphanage

After a member visited this orphanage in Thailand we have been raising money to help build a new house for the children. Currently the children live in a small hut with no proper bedding or toilet facilities. We will fund a new house with proper beds, separate rooms and clean bathrooms to give the kids a healthy environment to live in.
